About the Artist

My photo
I just love crafting, the messier the better. Have been crafting all my days but in the last 16 years have been doing more and more. My obsession began with making cards and from there I have tried many different forms of crafting. Great fan of Tim_Holtz love all his products would love to own them all one day. Graphic 45 is another must have for me and again would love to have it all. And then there is Prima well what can a girl say, just simply stunningly beautiful. Really enjoying the vintage, shabby chic and steampunk styles which are very much in vogue at the minute. Love Lace and Pearl trim, you might be seeing a fair bit of it all on here. xx Please keep calling past and enjoy my crafting journey with me. Great Big Huge Hugs Becca xxx

CraftyHands Challenge Blog - Challenge #3 - Sparkle 'n Bling

Its time for Challenge #3 already over at Crafty Hands Challenge Blog.

A winner has been chosen and named from Challenge #2 'Vintage' so if you haven't already why not pop over and check it out.

This fortnights Challenge theme is 'Sparkle 'n Bling' now who doesn't like a bit of that?

This is my DT project I altered a picture frame and 'Sparkled 'n Blinged' it up :-)

This is an oval picture frame that I picked up last year on my fantastic trip to The States.  From the fantabulous store, Michaels.  Oh the fun I had shopping in there on more than one occasion, much to my husbands eventual annoyance (oops!!).  Anyway I painted the whole frame white and then added some Stampendous Frantage in Shabby Pink in 4 sections, I really do like this stuff and again from another wonderful store in The States, Jo-Anns :-).  I then hot glued some irredecent flat backed pearls around the centre of the frame and added some bling around the bare outer edges.  I added one of my handmade lace flowers to the bottom topped with a wonderful Bling centre.  I created flower clusters with some pink and white flowers and some sparkly white leaves and a bling butterfly for good measure.  I cut up a vintage image napkin and added this lovely image which I think just finishes off the overall effect beautifully.

The prize for this fortnight kindly provided by Lisa, owner of Crafty Hands

For your chance to win come on over and follow the rules provided.

Thank you once again for stopping by, will be back soon with some more creations

Its time for another new challenge over at Rhedd and Rosie's Challenge Blog.  Our winner has been chosen from all the fantastic entries we had on our last challenge, so if you haven't already make sure to pop over and see.

This fortnights challenge is - Christmas is Coming.  We were very kindly supplied with wood pieces from Craft Shapes Torbay to create our DT piece for this fortnight.  Please take a look at their wonderful designs.

Here is my DT piece for this fortnight

I created this wooden plaque from a piece of wood out of my dads workshop.  I gessoed it all white and edged it in TH DS Victorian Velvet.  The wood pieces from Craft Shapes Torbay I painted white and then embossed using Stampendous Frantage embossing powder.  I love this stuff it creates a great texture and leaves a fabulous sparkle.  I cut out snowflakes using a paper punches from my stash in silver paper.  I added some laces and trims top and bottom and then finished off with a cluster of white WOC flowers from my stash on either side.  I thought it would be nice to create a Christmas plaque in colours different to the usual traditional Christmas tones.

Craft Shapes Torbay are offering a fabulous prize to this fortnights winner (wish I could enter too lol)

Tsunami Rose Designs

Hello again everyone it is time for another challenge over at Tsunami Rose Designs
 Challenge #36 - Anything Goes

Here is my DT project

These papers are stunning and so so gorgeous to work with, as are all Daisy's creations but this one I think so far is a favourite for me.  I love the colour tones which are set off fabulously with the black.

I really wanted to create one of my mini albums created using 1 sheet of 12" x 12" cardstock.  I have a YT tutorial video showing how to create this here.  I made this one with only 1 sheet of cardstock rather than the 2 as shown in my tutorial.  I cut papers from this printable collection and mounted them on each page.   I used a MS fence boarder punch to create pockets for journal cards or pictures to sit in.  I cut the envelope and tags out and used the envelope as a pull out from the centre of the album.  I created a closure by simply attaching and tying in a bow, some cream seambinding.  The spine I covered with some cotton crochet lace, added some Prima blooms and a pearl centre.  I added one of my handmade stickpins and some swirl bling to finish.  I also used my new Wink of Stella pens to add a bit of added sparkle and accent to the papers on the lettering on the cover and also to accent the roses on the envelope pull out journalling card.

I hope you like my creation and would like to thank you once again for stopping by my blog to see what I have been up to.

So here we are with Challenge #2
'Vintage'

This is my DT project for this fortnight

I made this tag using vintage style paper from my stash, I used matt medium to adhere a cream doily and then added a vintage napkin image again using the matt medium.  I added some cream ruffle trim with some cream flat backed pearls.  I added some lace behind flower clusters added one of my handmade stickpins and edged all flowers with some waltnut stain distress ink.  I stamped the word 'Dream' from a Prima stamp set as well as another one of my favourite Prima stamps of vines which I added around the edge of the tag.  To finish off I threaded through and tied some crochet cotton trim through the eye of the tag.

I hope you like my creation for this challenge.

Tsunami Rose Designs

Hi everyone, it is time for a new Challenge at Tsunami Rose Designs
Challenge #35 - Anything Goes'

This is my DT project

I created this 8x8 card using the gorgeous 'Life Abloom' collection from Tsunami Rose.  I love these papers, they have such a romantic feel to them.  I took a 8x8 white cardstock base and matted and layered some pink cardstock along with one of the gorgeous Life Abloom papers.  I cut out all the tags, ticket and envelope and distressed the edges and added some silver edging.  I matted the envelope onto the same pink cardstock and inserted 2 tickets inside, added one onto the front and then the other 'Flowers Grow out of Dark Moments' matted on the pink cardstock and popped up with foam tape.  I added some swirly bling from my stash and created a flower cluster using WOC flowers touched up with some diamond stickles.

For the inside of the card I used another paper from the collection matted on the same pink cardstock again and stamped the words 'with Love' with London Fog Momento Ink.

I hope you like my creation, I am quite happy with how it turned out and love this paper collection.  Yet another must have for me :-)

Thank you all so much for stopping by, I truly appreciate all your lovely comments.

Great Big Huge Hugs
