About the Artist

My photo
I just love crafting, the messier the better. Have been crafting all my days but in the last 16 years have been doing more and more. My obsession began with making cards and from there I have tried many different forms of crafting. Great fan of Tim_Holtz love all his products would love to own them all one day. Graphic 45 is another must have for me and again would love to have it all. And then there is Prima well what can a girl say, just simply stunningly beautiful. Really enjoying the vintage, shabby chic and steampunk styles which are very much in vogue at the minute. Love Lace and Pearl trim, you might be seeing a fair bit of it all on here. xx Please keep calling past and enjoy my crafting journey with me. Great Big Huge Hugs Becca xxx

This is my DT entry

I used a piece of A5 Chipboard with one of the Tim Holtz Small Easel dies attached to back. I painted it in Green Acrylic paint mixed with Structure Paste to give it a rough texture. Once dried I sprayed it with Raspbery Vintage Cosmic Shimmer. I painted the image using Liquid Acrylic White and Silver Pearl adding a touch of pink acrylic paint for the umbrella and purple for the flowers in hair and blue for chopsticks. I die cut a frame using Sizzix Jelly Frame and inserted the image behind bringing the hair infront of frame. The Die Cut frame I painted in Brown Acrylic added a layer of Weathered Wood medium and then toped with Moon Yellow Acrylic to produce the crackled effect with the brown showing thorugh the crackle. I edged layout and frame in Vintage Photo Distress ink. I then added some Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die cuts in gold and pale green cardstock and adorned the top and bottom corners using a hot glue gun with lilac, white, blue and pale green paper flowers. Added a bit of bling in centre of umbrella. And to finish off I added 2 bronze butterflies accented with pearl trim and lifted up their wings to add some dimension.
