About the Artist

My photo
I just love crafting, the messier the better. Have been crafting all my days but in the last 16 years have been doing more and more. My obsession began with making cards and from there I have tried many different forms of crafting. Great fan of Tim_Holtz love all his products would love to own them all one day. Graphic 45 is another must have for me and again would love to have it all. And then there is Prima well what can a girl say, just simply stunningly beautiful. Really enjoying the vintage, shabby chic and steampunk styles which are very much in vogue at the minute. Love Lace and Pearl trim, you might be seeing a fair bit of it all on here. xx Please keep calling past and enjoy my crafting journey with me. Great Big Huge Hugs Becca xxx

Rhedd and Rosie's Anything Goes Challenge Blog - Challenge #23 - Going Dotty

I hope Christmas has been good and that 2014 is a great year for your all.

Well Challenge #23 is live at Rhedd and Rosie's Challenge Blog and our winner has been chosen for Challenge #22.

This fortnights theme is 'Going Dotty' for this Challenge I will be choosing the winner and I think 'Going Dotty' is just the perfect theme for me lol describes me to a tee :-)

This is my DT Project for this fortnight

This is a 6.5 x 6.5 inch black based card.  I used 3 different papers from a Lawn Fawn paper stack from my stash, I distressed the edges and used TH DI Walnut and layered them up in a staggered fashion.  I had some decoupage sheets I found in my stash and I used this one with 'Great Dad' on it, the beer keg and pint glass.  I used some diamond stickles on the froth to make it stand out.  I then embellished with a clock, cogs, bling, black lace and a wee heart charm that says 'Made with Love'.  I used a Clearly Besotted Stamp Set 'Birthday Wishes' for my sentiment on the front again distressing and using TH DI Walnut Stain.  To finish off I used some White Gesso and rubbed it here and there over the front of the card.

It is my Dad's Birthday tomorrow so this is made especially for him.  I do hope he likes it.

This Challenge is sponsored by Tonya at CraftyHands and what a fabulous prize we have so for your chance to win come on over stick to our rules listed and join in with us at

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate you all.

Great Big Huge Hugs

Great masculine cad - Very steam-punkish feel to it. A style I like but I am uncomfortable trying to pull off :O) -
I bet your Dad loves it!

I REALLY like the juxtaposition of the masculine motifs (beer & gears) with the feminine elements (lace and bling). The latter elements truly enhanced your design, without emasculating it. Happy Birthday to your Dad, who is blessed to have a talented and innovative daughter.
