This is my DT project for this month. I have been promising myself for sometime now to make something for my dearest Hubby and this Challenge was the perfect opportunity to make something which I knew he would love, use and appreciate.
I created this Desktop Organiser using the Crafty-Emblies pen holder and 2 of the 2.5" boxes. I glued all the items together using Glossy Accents. I decorated the boxes using a selection of my Tim Holtz stamps from my stash and used Memento Rich Cocoa ink which tones in with the colouring of the mdf. Once together I lined the inside of the 2.5" boxes with paper from a DCWV paperstack. I rubbed some Inca Gold on Crafty-Emblie Keys and Cogs and attached them again with Glossy Accents. I also had some metal cogs in my stash which I attached on top of the Crafty Emblie Cogs just to add some further dimension. To finish off I created a dangle charm using a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Trinket Pin with the word 'Stuff' on top and attached a selection of charms from my stash using some chain and jump rings. I attached this to a stick I made to look like a little wooden ruler. On the base I glued on black felt just to finish it off.
I took this home to Hubby and he loved it. After examining it very carefully he had to ask 'Did you make this?' followed by 'how?' The wonders of Crafty-Emblies eh?
So there you go that's how this was done. I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations over at Crafty-Emblies.
Thank you so much again for stopping by, I love reading all your lovely comments, I really appreciate them all.
Great Big Huge Hugs
