About the Artist

My photo
I just love crafting, the messier the better. Have been crafting all my days but in the last 16 years have been doing more and more. My obsession began with making cards and from there I have tried many different forms of crafting. Great fan of Tim_Holtz love all his products would love to own them all one day. Graphic 45 is another must have for me and again would love to have it all. And then there is Prima well what can a girl say, just simply stunningly beautiful. Really enjoying the vintage, shabby chic and steampunk styles which are very much in vogue at the minute. Love Lace and Pearl trim, you might be seeing a fair bit of it all on here. xx Please keep calling past and enjoy my crafting journey with me. Great Big Huge Hugs Becca xxx

Rhedd & Rosies Anything Goes Challenge Blog - 11th Challenge - 'Anything Goes'

Hello everyone, well that will be 2 weeks of the kids Summer Holidays past
(not that I am counting lol)

There has been great entries over on Rhedd & Rosies Challenge Blog for last fortnights theme of 'Here Comes Summer' and poor Tina has had a hard time choosing her winner, but choose she did, so Congratulations to our winner.

This fortnight our theme is 'Anything Goes' so no excuses for anyone this fortnight and I am really looking forward to seeing what marvelous creations we have to see.

I have made an Anniversary card for this Challenge

I made this easel style card from white cardstock and it measures 5"x5" Square.  I used TH Doily on the Edge Die to create the lovely scalloped doily.  I coloured it using TH DI in Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo (my favourite colours) I just love these two shades used together and think they create a lovely Shabby Chic feel to the card.  I stamped out a border effect using a Prima Leave/Vine stamp in Memento Moca Brown and also the Birdcage from the same stamp collection.  I added some cream lace topped with cream flat backed pearls and then created a flower spray using WOC flowers and leaves with just a touch of Stickles for a little sparkle.  I then placed a bronze butterfly resting in the flower cluster.  I punched out a MS butterfly border punch and added some more Stickles to every other butterfly and popped up the wings.  Using some sticky backed foam I mounted up some patterned paper from my stash onto some white card stock and added the 'Happy Anniversary' sentiment.  In the inside of the easel card I used some coordinating patterned paper also edges with Vintage Photo and added a die cut label in white cardstock for a message to be written.

For a more detailed look at my card why not take a look at my YouTube video click here

I hope you like my card for this fortnight.

This Challenge is sponsored by Sandie (AKA Rhedd) and our winner will win this gorgeous prize.  For your chance to win pop over and add your entry here.

Rhedd and Rosie Challenge Blog - 10th Challenge - Here Comes Summer

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.  My kids have just started their 7 week Summer Holiday, heaven help us, will we manage to survive 7 weeks of the little darlings?  Sure we will and I do have our Summer Camp with the local Scout Group to look forward to in a few weeks time.

The winner has been announced for our 9th Challenge 'Take Flight' over on Rhedd and Rosie Challenge Blog, well done and congratulations to the winner.

It is time for the next Challenge to begin and this the 10th Challenge is 'Here Comes Summer' was chosen by my team mate Tina.  Well we can but hope that at some point we will experience some sort of summer weather but I am sure that you will feel summery when you take a look at all the fabulous DT makes for this Challenge.

This is my DT make for this fortnight.  I went for a Summer Themed Tag.

I used the Large Tag Tim Holtz die, added some beach scene paper from my stash and die cut images of Shells and a little tag attached at the top.  The bottom of the tag was finished off with some gem trim and I added some jute and blue shades and yellow fibers through the hole on the top.  I used a Papermania stamp for the postcard, cut it out and wrote 'Here Comes Summer, Wish You Were Here xx'  Tag and postcard were edged with TH Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I also had some swirly bling in my stash which I added to the sea to give the effect of waves.  Topped off with a few bits of pearls and blue bling to add just that little bit more sparkle :-).

This Challenge is sponsored by our boss lady, owner and Head DT Sandie and she is offering this fabulous 'Cogs' Stamp and 'Metal Cogs' Embellishments by Papermania.

Come on over to Rhedd and Rosie's Anything Goes Challenge Blog and join in for your chance to win this fabulous prize.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I appreciate all your lovely comments so much.
