I was delighted and truly thrilled to be asked to be one of the Guest DT members for the month of September for Fernli Designs. I love all of their designs and they really are fabulous quality and have a customer service second to none.
I was sent a fabulous selection of pieces to design with the choice was so difficult. I have a stash of product of my own also which I purchased, won in giveaways and also was kindly gifted in swaps so my choice was really very difficult, but such a pleasure to delve into and create with.
I firstly opted for this gorgeous Heart of Hearts
For my first project I created this wall hanging using the beautifully designed Fernli Designs Heart of Hearts
To start with I covered the whole piece in Versamark ink and then embossed with some Stampendous Frantage in Shabby Blue. I love this embossing enamel and the effect and texture once heated is stunning. I then used an IndigoBlu stamp set that I got as a free gift with one of my crafty magazines for the sentiment.
Once I had attached the sentiment I set about digging through my stash of flowers, leaves, stemens, bead sprays, pearls and heart bling and added a cluster around the left side of the heart. I didn't want to cover up too much of this beautiful piece from Fernli as I really think it is stunning as it is. To finish off I added some adhesive pearl swirls to the right side, just to balance the project a little more, one of my handmade stickpins into the cluster and then adhered some cream seam binding to the back as a means to hang this wall hanging.
I hope you like my project, I have really enjoyed creating it and I am currently really, really enjoying having Fernli product spread over my craft desk. I have 2 more project so please keep an eye out for them coming soon. I am really excited about showing the largest of all the projects but will keep you hanging on until nearer the end of the month to unveil it to you all :-)

Hi Becca, thank you for informing me that your entry wasn't showing.
I just logged into Inlinkz to check what happened to your entry and for some odd reason it decided to moderate you. You can have an option to moderate entries into a challenge, BUT I had not ticked that option and most entries have shown up fine. I have manually added your's now and apologise that you have had this issue. I have contacted Inlinkz to see if they can make sure it doesn't happen again.
I absolutely love your project. I would have been tempted to skim on the shabby blue frantage though, by missing out the middle that you covered with the sentiment, but only because I am tight! Love that floral arrangement and the actual mdf base is just stunning. I am off to see what's on offer on the website you got it form.
Thanks for creating for our very first challenge and again apologies you have had such issues getting your fabulous project to show up
